Quy Mill Hotel & Spa holds a licence for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships.

There can be few finer locations for a ceremony than our unique Waterwheel which can seat 80 guests with the original Waterwheel as a stunning backdrop.

If your dream surroundings are beautiful landscaped gardens then our Garden Room is the perfect place to say ‘I do’, flooded with natural light and overlooking our impressive gardens, we can accommodate up to 75 guests for your ceremony.

Legal Requirement

In the UK, a civil marriage can be performed in any building that has been approved for that purpose. 

To be able to legally marry in an approved venue, you and your fiancé must both give notice in person to your local superintendent registrar at least 28 days prior to your wedding. This is then valid for one year, after which time, you will need to give notice again. 

If you decide to marry at Quy Mill Hotel & Spa, you will need to pay for the registrar to come out to conduct the ceremony.
